GWR ON FIRE!!!

I was wondering why slicks are used? Do they not take a lot of heating up?
They're far softer than ordinary racing slicks and you can leave finger prints on them when they're cold. By the time they've gone through tyre warming they have the consistency of chewing gum and stick to your hand if you touch them. If the run is longer than 30 - 40 seconds you need to change to a harder compound because these super stickies will overheat.Naso Grande said:
The engine sounds very lively! Is it an ex-F1 lump then?
I was in the family establishment about a month back with my folks. Can't believe your dad hadn't heard of a Noble before.
My Dad gets a bit confused!!I was in the family establishment about a month back with my folks. Can't believe your dad hadn't heard of a Noble before.
Yes its a Arrows 3l V10 F1 engine and carbon g/box. Its got around 700bhp at 15000, but no flywheel so it is a bit lively to say the least. The car (GWR Predator) weighs around 420kg all in. gears speeds are, 1st 85mph, 2nd 108, 3rd 135, thats the only gears i need to use for a run at that track, if you listen closely you can here the times the car goes onto the limmiter and that will give you a idea of what speeds we were getting up to.
