The engine sounds very lively! Is it an ex-F1 lump then?

I was in the family establishment about a month back with my folks. Can't believe your dad hadn't heard of a Noble before.

I was wondering why slicks are used? Do they not take a lot of heating up? Would wet weathers not be better? is it to do with regulations?

I am a bit new to hill climbing, sorry for the spanish inquisition

They're far softer than ordinary racing slicks and you can leave finger prints on them when they're cold. By the time they've gone through tyre warming they have the consistency of chewing gum and stick to your hand if you touch them. If the run is longer than 30 - 40 seconds you need to change to a harder compound because these super stickies will overheat.

My Dad gets a bit confused!!
Yes its a Arrows 3l V10 F1 engine and carbon g/box. Its got around 700bhp at 15000, but no flywheel so it is a bit lively to say the least. The car (GWR Predator) weighs around 420kg all in. gears speeds are, 1st 85mph, 2nd 108, 3rd 135, thats the only gears i need to use for a run at that track, if you listen closely you can here the times the car goes onto the limmiter and that will give you a idea of what speeds we were getting up to.

It can be, just not the way Graeme does it.

Actually one of the cheaper and easier forms of motorsport to get into - which is why I do it, though the longer you do it (or it is the case with me) the more you end up spending.

Bloody good fun though.
