Someone mentioned this road in the doune hillclimb thread and seeing as I got to Doune much earlier than i was expecting i figured I'd go and check it out. Stopped to take a few pictures along the way. Unfortunately when i was going home I got stuck behind a coach (that was having trouble just getting past cars coming the other way) and someone else that was going pretty slow and theres no places to get past, but it is the kinda oad you can just go slow and have a look out the window aswell.

Nice pics - and weather! Dukes pass is a road we just discovered recently after a day out to Loch Katrine and it is indeed lovely - made all the lovlier if you don't get stuck behind a tour bus....

If I had a favourite road the Dukes Pass would possibly be it, incredible fun even in the rain.

Was the only time I came close to motion sickness.
I was trying out a DV camera and some new sound gear in my dads car on this road.
The combination of the twists, peaks and dips whilst using a viewfinder was not good.

Had one very interesting moment when 3 Novas/Corsas in a row came towards us. The last one suffering huge understeer coming out of the corner we were entering. On the video you can actually see the drivers face going white.

Definitely my favourite road!

My "drive of the moment" just now involves heading over Dukes Pass, stopping at Crianlarich for a coffee (and to catch my breath!), then back down the other side of Loch Lomond, taking in Glenfruin Road which is a close second to Dukes Pass.

Great roads! The Callander - Lix Toll section up Glen Ogle is good and Lix Toll - Crianlarich has some high-lepton bits biggrinbiggrin
