Ok let's get organised!

Leaving the Rainbow carwash by the expressway at 9am seems to be the plan, then onto the Green Welly for 11 to meet up with the Edinburgh group? Please to be adding your name to the list thank you! smile

As per other thread, is the carwash on the southside of the tunnell? Next to Lidl?

North side of the tunnel iirc part of the BP petrol station.

The last time, on the tunnel run everyone pretty much stayed in convoy at the speed limit. It made for a fun drive, and lots of opportunities for passengers to get video footage of all the cars.

As always everyone's free to do what they want, but being on 9 points, I'll be driving like my grandmother (mostly!), and looking to get good footage of the roads and cars on the way up to Tyndrum.

I may now be coming on my own, my old man is away to sun himself for a fortnight and my co-pilot seems to be ignoring me, so do we have a rough route in mind?

Obviously Glasgow to Tyndrum but then from there onwards?

Cant believe it, took cerb out yesterday for a wee run to make sure everythings working for sat, as if ! Theres always a first, its a tvr after all ! Filled her up with some of esso's finest in east kilbride, driving home, hits a pothole and f@@ked my rear shockers ! ! ! Desperately trying to source a new pair of Gaz gold and fit for sat, easy fit lets hope.
Surely theres more than 5 of us from glasgow going ? Are we still meeting at the rainbow thingy and heading up to green welly ?
Hopefully have my shockers sorted or i'll have to syphon the fuel out and loose a few stone ! ! !
See you sat.
Greig, you still on dry land or offshore ?

I'll be joining the Glasgow branch rather than Edinburgh. Car is possibly more shed then sport at the moment but it would be good to give it a run out!

Where is said rainbow carwash???

i know where the petrol station is, but not 100% sure of the car wash,

how about the lidl next to the clyde tunnel (south side) means we can make noise through the tunnel before heading up?

The car wash is part of the petrol station
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=south+street+glasg...

Would it be a good place to meet up though as i remember at the tunnel run we werent exactly welcome.

Hmmm, is the plan to go up GWR and out past Loch Lomond that way?

Better off starting south of the tunnell then, unless we go for a lap through, round the roundabout and then off up to GWR?

We can stop across the road from the carwash if they're not happy with us being there, just park in a big line till we're ready to leave.

Best to meet in a line as above, then through tunnel heading towards govan onto m8 over erskine bridge and up west side of loch lomond and up to crianlarich and onto Green welly stop.
Or alternatively if we have only a few cars then we could have headed up to stirling services to meet the other mob and travel in a bigger convoy.

Nice pic! smile

Sounds like a better place to meet too, rather than clogging up the carwash carpark. So the plan is leaving from there at 9am, driving to the green-welly, and meeting the edinburgh group there at 11? From there, onto oban for 1pm.

About the route from glasgow to green-welly. I just assumed down the M8, across the bridge, and up the A82 to crainlarich and then the green-welly, was the best route. What are the alternatives, and who's up for what?
