Kenny's 3month old BJ Race Shuttle was stolen from his garage last night at around 11pm.

His '74 Elan with spares etc was inside.

The trailer was seen being towed by a dark coloured Vectra estate on the Clyde valley road possibly heading for the M74

Any info to Kenny on 07928240823

Bloody hell, he has had that car for years too! He will be seriously pissed off and rightly so. A damn shame!

Is this the car that I saw recently at the SMRC?

Was his daughter / female person driving it and won the race? I remember her saying he'd had the car since 3 years after it was made to the current day. He'll be raging!

Yes that was Sasha Pearl that was driving the Elan, who throughout the year has been guest driving in various categories at SMRC meetings as part of the tv coverage which she presents.

It's getting to the point where it's not worth leaving anything ov value in/on a trailer any more. Trailers are stolen as there's a huge black market for them, whatever's on them just gets discarded or sold on ASAP.

Kenny does not have any trailer pics but its a standard BJ Race Shuttle 15ft long. Since its only 3 months old its still ( or was!) pristine in white with only the BJ stickers on it apart from a pair of small Ecurie Ecosse stickers on the rear panel.. When stolen it carried the number plate for Kenny's motorhome G500BNP.
... so, not unlike this ...

Stealing it at 11pm was pretty brazen as there are still people walking dogs etc at that time. At 3 or 4am the village would be dead which makes us think that its been lifted at late evening to give time to get it on an early ferry to Ireland or well down the M6 before the garage would have opened normally at 7.30ish.
Given the ferry possibility, I've cross posted the link in the NI and Ireland sections.

Saw a link to this in the Ireland section as someone reckoned it may have come across on a ferry. I'll keep my eyes peeled anyway.

Hate seeing this. As someone said it can be hardly worth leaving something on a trailer these days. A good friend of mine had his Abarth Punto burnt out a night before a race after being left covered on a trailer last year. frown

No idea as the original info on the net wasn't posted here I think it was elsewhere.

Would be interested to know the outcome though.

Just read elsewhere that both were recovered this weekend, any truth in that?
I heard that was untrue, unfortunately.

Wonder who took the shuttle and why ? I've one myself and often wonder what the security threats are.
