Ok

Anyone from Edinburgh going. Depends if I am onshore then I will leave about 9am. Whoever is up for this where would you like to meet.

Could suggest that if anyone is up for it then we could be meet at the say somewhere like the Tesco car park in Corstorphine, so nice and easy to get out the city.

Cheers Greig

Would be going from Edinburgh up the M9 to stirling. Then on the A84 to (via Callender) Tyndrum and then from there on the A85 to Oban.

As i work offshore I may miss it but if I am onshore then will definately be going. Hopefully a few others will be going to.

Cheers Greig

If I go up I might take the Rest and be Thankful route.
If I am meeting my Dad though we will go the Callender route and try and tag along with the Edinburgh convoy at some point.

I'm interested, and would be leaving from Glasgow, likely going via rest-and-be-thankful.

If there's only a few leaving from edinburgh and glasgow, would the rest be a good place to meet?

hey Paul

If I remember rightly did u had the Z4 on the glasgow tunnel run. I am open to suggestions for the run. Only trying to organise something so when people get in touch we all meet in the same place. I may not even be able to make it if I get sent offshore but if I am here I would be willing to drive early through to Glasgow and then up the rest and be thankful. Such a good road.
It seems the guys here in Edinburgh are being a bit quiet.

If anymore suggestions are forth coming then please post them. The Aberdeen and Inversissians (yup probably spelt wrong) have a good group of supercars going.

Heya Greig, yep, that was me on the tunnel run. Great day!

If the Glasgow and Edinburgh convoys want to meet up, Crianlarich could be a good meeting place. Not sure what route would be best from edinburgh, but I'm assuming avoiding the M8 (yawn..) would be desirable. Alternatively, Callander could be a good place, then head over Dukes Pass and onto Oban.

Plenty of time before then anyway. We can see who's all up for what, and get some plan together. It'll be a great drive no matter what route we all take.. so many good roads up that way.

If I've got the car finished by then I'll be up for it but it's going to be a, very, close call but will keep a weather eye on the thread.

BTW the road from Tyndrum over to Dalmally has been very heavily policed lately so be careful, particularly on the long straights out of Tyndrum.

Hi Greig,
I have been watching this thread, but havent posted 'cos I cant make it, I have a wedding to go to that day and my missus wont let me out of it! So not lack of interest as Avril already knows, just severely pissed off at a missed opportunity. Good man for organising this though, there seems to be a dirth of south east get togethers on here.

Cheers

Graeme

Hi Graeme,

Well, your hoist is still functional so that's the good part. Getting the engine out was simple and quite quick. Getting everything else disconnected and trying not to rip it all to pieces at the same times has been.... interesting... preparation is, apparently, everything whistle

Thats a shame Graeme would have loved to have seen the vette on the road. Maybe another time. I am just hoping that I am onshore. Always get called away last minute.

Thinking now along the lines of an Edinburgh departure and meeting some of the Glasgow lot in Crianlarich. Erdnase has posted interest. We did the Glasgow Tunnel run earlier in the year which was a laugh.
