It might be helpful to say with which planning authority your issue is with since local bylaws etc can impact.

Buchan (Peterhead) area, I have a planning application going to committee next week. I was hoping on the off chance that some of the councillors were PH members and into TVR's. Not that I'd look to sway there thinking or anything.

Not from that area but if it's advice you need you've left it a bit late to change the submitted plans haven't you, however, what do you need to know?

Just looking for an honest opinion as to my chances before I go spending a small fortune with a planning consultant, some of it is already spent. Then there is the option of withdrawing it instead of getting a refusal against the site.

Confident I can get planning for a house, its just the style and size they don't like. If it goes any smaller then it is no use as a family home for me.
