Hi guys,

A few weeks back I saw some pictures of a trackday\night at knockhill which was aimed at newbies, i.e when a approaching a corner the inside line was conned etc.

Is there anything going on towards the end of Sept?

I bought an M3 Evo 6 months back which is getting suspension and brake upgrades at the moment and to justify keeping it as a second car I really need to use it on the track smile

I'll be using it at the Nurburgring at the end of this month, but really only to experience the place this time round, not out to break any records smile

Track Scotland have a track night on 11th of September but it won't be classed as a beginner night. I have heard of the beginner nights before and also the female only ones but not aware of any upcoming ones anytime soon.

However, it should be said that the Track Scotland nights are very friendly and would welcome you if you wanted to attend.

Thanks for the info.

I am only just back from my Europe road trip a few days before so I'll need to some time out from driving after 3000 miles smile

I'll take a look for the last week in Sept or early Oct. Do the cars not need to be £10k+ for most of those track events?

I think what you are talking about are the hot marques evenings at knockhill.

I think the cones are just there to stop any overtaking into the bends.

Try a trackscotland night, the people are friendly and there is only overtaking on the left and thats on straights only, so it is usually quite safe for everyone. Check the website for dates that are left. Be aware however that they usually sell out well in advance so be quick on the uptake.

Knockhill very occasionally - perhaps once a year - have a Novice evening for trackday virgins.

The regular Hot Marques are not coned off at the corners and attract a lot of fast machinery.

Track Scotland nights do not have a 10000 pound min value so you can take on whatever you want. That might sound bad but Track Scotland nights in my experience have never attracted idiots.....otherwise I wouldn't go.
