If you are not doing anything this Saturday (2nd August 2008) and fancy a trip to the West Highlands, there are a bunch of PH's doing a 'sports car line up' at the Shieldaig Fete.

Info/directions etc here > http://www.stevecarter.com/ansh/2008fete.htm

As I type weather looks like sunshine/showers, but they lie a lot regarding the weather in these parts! (It says it's raining here at the moment and it 23c and wall to wall sun).

Assuming everyone turns up, we have coming: Lamborghini Diablo, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Ultima GTR, Maserati Spyder, Ford Mustang, TVR Tuscan 2, TVR Cerbera, Westfield, 'Caterfield', Porsche 968 Club sport, Porsche 997 GT3, Ferrari 360, Lotus Exige, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Aston Martin V8 Vantage ... plus a few oddballs that may join us (Beach Buggy!).

PH 'Stang' and a few others are leaving Inverness in a convoy that morning, so if you are one of the above, or would like to tag along with said convoy, then contact her via the PH e-mail.

Hope to see you there... and STOP doing that rain dance.

excellent Steve! was going to email you to see if it would be the "done thing" to start a thread about this.

I'll be driving up from Edinburgh on the Friday night to Lochcarron. heading out of Lochcarron to come to Sheildaig via Applecross some time Saturday morning (once I've given the Spyder a polish up!!).

If anyone who is going wants to meet up at the bottom of the Bealach na Ba some time on Saturday morning to head over then post here and we can work out a time..

well, I figured if we met at the wee fish restaurant/shop at Loch Kishorn? That way, early arrivals can have a cuppa whilst waiting for others. Assuming there is interest and we can fix a time? Might be nice getting a pic of some of us on the Bealach.....Mind you, having just got back from doing the Timmelsjoch, Stelvio, Passa di Tonale, Grand San Bernard amongst others the Bealach should be a breeze this time;)driving

....or, I just sit in the village at Lochcarron and wait for the sound of thunder to approach and follow thatbiggrinlaugh

Hi All

Motoring up Fri early doors and staying in Shieldaig for 2 nights.

Ruddy car has developed a slight leak - Not an issue in its self, but driveway paving has commeneced and can't get it out of the garage for another couple of days.

Just great.

Will use other transport if worst comes to the worst.

Hey hey folks,

Well that is me just home from offshore and catching up with everything. I have said a meeting time of 10am and leaving at 10.30. From Inverness so far we have the Corvette, Mustang, Lambo and Fezza and hopefully meeting the Exige on route. I will have to go look at a map to see the places you have suggested meeting. Not a problem meeting on route. Although I think we were going via the Kinlochewe direction.

well keep me posted. Of course, coming via Lochcarron you get to do the Bealach.....again!!

If you decide you are going via Kinlochewe if there is anyone else wanting to come via Achnasheen, Lochcarron and then over the Bealach and round the coast road then post here and we can meet.

I know that everywhere in Shieldaig is booked. If you are keen to come I'd try B&Bs in Torridon (two on this page ... Annat is also in Torridon):
