Afternoon all, continuing the saga with my cerbera i require the start motor replaced. I have tried but failed.
Does anyone know of any tvr friendly garages in or around aberdeen?

If they can weld exhausts as well that would be a bonus smile

Thanks,

Naso Grande

JD Motor Engineers out in Insch would be a good bet. They get good recommendations in the Specialists sticky at the top of the page.

Very helpful they [JD Motors] are too. They see a lot of TVR's through their doors so I doubt a troublesome starter motor will pose to much of a problem for them.

Best of luck.

To be honest the starter motor is a very simple thing to change, one of the easier diy jobs on the cerb!!

I tried to fix it myself as i had heard it was easy, however....
Tried to move the fuel rail but there is not enough movement to move it as instructed. Therefore not enough room to take out the coils.
I guess i could drain the fuel system and things bu i have no garage and all work is done in a shared car park.

I have already dropped and lost one bolt from the fuel rail and snapped the bonnet stay.
The exhaust needs welded and a coilover adjusted.

I think it best that before i lose the rag with the car and break something else it goes away and sits on the naughty step.

I am incompetent frown

Aaaahh fair enough mate, i didnt need to take the coils out when i changed mine and by pulling the fuel rail forward a wee bit i managed to squeeze the starter out without too much bother.
Ohh and am about as incompident as they come lol
