Every day this week around 2 pm. Whoop, Whoop, Whoop as two Chinooks fly overhead. Does anybody know what they are up to?

I'm near Edinburgh airport and have seen these, but more interestingly 2 low level Apache gunships the last couple of days!eek

It's part of the Combined Qualified Weapons Instructors Course, been going over here all week as well, with a few Gazelle's/Lynx's usually tailing the main chinook.

We were playing golf at Kinloss the other week and the Typhoons were doing circuits, I didn't think there was enough of them to have operational squadrons yet, I thought it might have been Mirages or the like but obviously not going by the BBC link, nice looking planes though,

yep got buzzed by a C130 being thrown around the black isle at the weekend. trying to scare journalists and of course never below 300ft nooo never...

not seen any choppers at all.

I thought the UK had a sizable amount of apaches just nobody to fly them, care off that odd pilot interface
