Funny old day ... and it's only 10:15 (pulled on SDR)
Discussion
I won't bore you with the rest but got pulled this morning on the long straight at Durris (recorded 80).
Followed and stopped at Maryculter House Hotel.
The guys were absolutely brand new. No nonsense just the facts (I'm almost on the point of saying it was a pleasure to deal with them ... but not quite). Stoney based coppers I believe and very nice chaps.
There have apparently been complaints / reports from locals and commuters on the SDR with concerns over speed etc.
Fair cop - not enough points for a mountain bike yet though.
Be careful out there.
My difficulty now is that I also have a NIP from Tayside sitting on my kitchen table (70 in a 70 ... but with a trailer) so two forces require my license at the same time.
Cheers,
Eric

Gutted for you Eric,
i know the feeling when it all happens at once and the licence feels heavy all of a sudden, i saw the cops sat out there on saturday when i went for a run over the Cairn'o'mount, they were also near Banchory on the way home to town.
Hopefully your insurance co don't get too upset.

Sorry mate. Do you think they followed you all the way to MCH because it was the safest place to pull over?
Aye, they had the lights on before at a farm road but by the time I'd noticed (no rear view mirror), it wasn't suitable to stop.hemibum said:
Marked car?
Aye, it looks something like this in a wing mirror ...They tagged me with the radar gnu from the bushes. I was overtaking and got a glimpse of dayglow in my peripheral. I stopped the overtake and pulled in to the LH lane. They were behind me in a surprisingly short space of time. Their lights were on initially but I wasn't going to stop 'til it was safe to do so.

... weren't you just telling me after you got caught with the trailer that it would be your first driving conviction since Moses was a boy ?
Pretty much, 1998 I reckon - in me old Impreza Catalunya on the North Deeside this time. There's an interesting story about that one to do with Steph picking the car up when it was new (to me) while I was offshore ... but I don't think it's appropriate for a public forum. Corpulent Tosser said:
... BTW on a separate subject I have one word for you SPA
Aye, our organiser / chaperone / minder / cohort can't make it now so we're on our own. I'll get to making arrangements ... don't you worry your pretty little head.Cheers,
Eric
I got caught on that same bit on the SDR about 8 years ago. I saw the white van off to my right in the trees and then a second later, flash. Caught doing 73.
A couple of years back I got caught doing 62 mph in my dads transit on the NDR at Crathes. I was bit gutted as I did not realise at the time I was only allowed to do 50. The motorcycle police were having none of my excuses and I still got the 3 points and the fine.

Things could be worse, There is a poor chap standing on the hill just up from Northsound with an M3 softtop with only three wheels as we speak.
Looks like one of the back wheels has fallen off as the back of the car is on the tarmac and the wheel is nearby.
Well, at least he's not far from the Main Stealer.............or.... No. He couldn't have. Could he?Looks like one of the back wheels has fallen off as the back of the car is on the tarmac and the wheel is nearby.

A lot of cop action down near A1/Edinburgh City Bypass this morning - thought ASDA had been turned over again but haven't heard anything as yet.
2 x 5 series at full pelt, then an unmarked C class estate went blasting past at at least 130 - quite incredible!
Im surprised that there is no cameras on the City Bypass. You can move fairly quickly on there.2 x 5 series at full pelt, then an unmarked C class estate went blasting past at at least 130 - quite incredible!
