they look much better in the flesh! they are the 4th set of wheels in a year!
1st = GT2 wheels (mk1) then 2nd = 997 wheels then 3d the techarts and now 4th the bbs lms!

Hah, I worked in that depot as a summer job when I was a student (it was a KwikFit in those days...it were all fields, are far as the eye could see...).

The interview had 1 question: 'have you got your own tools?'. An answer in the affirmative secured the position. Training was slightly less than 5 minutes - 'the exhausts are over the back there, the gaskets are on that shelf, and the brake pads and shoes are in the wee shed'. Ah, the joys of trying to fit 1.6 Capri exhausts on 1.3 Cortinas.... Fond memories of bodging repairs, setting cars alight (by accident), hooning up the road in complete strangers' cars (just testing there's no rattles sir). And of course the aformentioned is the reason I have never taken any of my cars to any fast-fit stylee depot for anything other than changing tyres. Jeez, as I was writing this it all seemed real recent - I've just worked out it was more than 30 years ago eek.

Oh, and I preferred the original wheels too smile

I use that Farmers for fitting tyres onto powdercoated wheels, good lads and careful too. My 964 lives just up the road from there, saw your 996 yesterday parked outfront!

Anyone with an ounce of racing blood in them would appreciate that the BBS LM's are the dog's dangleberries.

Do appreciate them, prefer them on 964 or 993 where they belong, but not so much on 996, each to their own though.

Like both sets, maybe edging towards the techarts. Not that it matters as I'm sure you be on your 6th set by the end of the year!!!! biglaugh

My 2p. I like both sets of wheels. The techart look more show and the BBS look more go!

I think I prefer the purposeful look of the BBS rims.

I prefer the BBS wheels.
Sets the tone for what the car should be all about.
