Well done Allan McNish
Discussion
My story about Allan McNish.
In early 2003 I owned a Cerbera 4.5 and wanted to try the new Tuscan S. I had booked a test drive with the then dealer Logik TVR in Dunfermline. When I arrived the sales manager informed me that another gentleman also wanted to try the car, he was very pressed for time so would I mind waiting or sharing the test drive with him. He said I might find sharing interesting as the other chap was a professional racing driver by the name of Allan McNish.
What then followed was a 20 minute passenger ride around the back roads of Fife which will be etched on my memory and (Calvin Kleins) forever.
Mr McNish fresh from his 2002 season in F1 decided to explore the outer limits of the TVR and demonstrated a new dimension for me in car handling skills. When he (very bravely) offered to swap places with me and let me drive I declined as the car had absolutley nothing left to prove and the only thing I would prove is that I can not drive like Allan McNish.
There are many great drivers but it takes a certain kind of talent to win Le Mans. A small sandy haired Scot from Dumfries has just done it again and I would like to thank him for sharing some of that talent with me those five years ago.
Cheers, Doug.

Great story! But one question....did McNish like the car? Did he buy one? (sorry that was two questions)In early 2003 I owned a Cerbera 4.5 and wanted to try the new Tuscan S. Judging by the huge smile on his face he liked the car, we did'nt talk a great deal of the time, he was concentrating and I was holding on. I don't know if he bought one, probably not as his company car was a Renault F1 at the time.Have you thought about changing your handle in deference to Mr Get Carter who has had that handle since the industrial revolution?
