A bit of front end damage to my old Impreza today looks like bonnet, grille surround, bumper and lights on one side. I could put it to Nobles but to be honest I wasnt too impressed with their spray work last time someone keyed my wing. So recomendations for a good crash repair shop in or around Edinburgh, preferrably one that wont take one look at an 89 Subaru Impreza and say write off!

I have used both Altered Image and LCI Autobody but would not go back.

I have heard good things about Seafield Coachworks, they are not the cheapest but are good by all accounts!

ask for "young billy" at seafield coachworks, they have done a lot of work for me with good results.

They've just got a new fancy-pants computer controlled paint drying machine thingy there, which cuts the labour time on paint jobs dramatically (e.g. 6 hours to 17 minutes), and hence brought quotes down.

Just had a quote for the front end of my Cerb (front, bonnet and both wings), plus a couple of other touch-ups - £771+VAT, which I thought was very reasonable, especially as the AM paint apparently costs an arm and a leg.

Steve Walker's is usually the central belt Lotus community's first port of call
