Does anyone in Aberdeen area have the skills to solder a 20 Pin AMP connector and 2 pin power connector onto a new LCD circuit board for my Sagaris?

Need a high temp electonics solder iron, don't think my 50V BT spade blade will quite to the trick!

Off to Nurburgring and Zolder a week on Tuesday, dashboard in bits frown

Fantastic, yes, I just need the 2 blue connectors swapped over onto the new circuit board. I will PM you with my contact details and see if I can drop it off with you tomorrow. Many thanks indeed, you are a lifesaver!

I could of helped you out there Neil but im back at work again for a while. I would suggest trying to get hold of new sockets to solder in as it'll be alot easier to solder in new ones than removing the old ones. You might be able to get them from RS Components Ltd, Peterseat Drive, Altens Ind Est, Altens, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire AB12 3HT 01224 873233

I will go in past Maplin's on the way to the Autocross today to get the 2x10 PCB Header socket which looks like the exact replacement connector. Not sure if RS Components open on Sunday but will give them a call. Thanks Roy & Paul for all your help.

Well I did spend time in repeaters as a TTA but ended up in PBX maintenance in Aberdeen. Soldering jumper wire not quite the same finesse as working on PCB's!

All sorted now thanks to creationracing, got a 20 way connector from Maplin. Now just need to find time to reassemble the dash smile
