Mmmm, wife's favourite restaurant that is...not my bank managers though... :-)Service was pretty damn near perfect, attentive without bothering us all the time.
Wines, chosen by Mr Kiltie were very good.
East Lothian Asparagus in butter with shaved Parmesan ( I didn't know East Lothian was famed for its asparagus ! ) follwed by grilled Seabass fillets.
Starter was very good, main course could have done with a a few more tatties, one slice of tattie hidden under the fish was all I got, still it left room for the blue cheese selection.
So with the pint in the Oxford bar, large G&T aperitif, couple of bottles of wine, glass of port with the cheese and a nice cognac with the coffee I was feeling fine by the time I left
AA Gill eat your heart out! Excellent restaurant critique. Have heard nothing but good reports, will make an effort to get there next time I'm in Embra
Now here's a well kept North East secret - best restaurant by far up here is Eat on the Green at Udny Green. Will probably have to shoot you now I've told you that - it's hard enough getting a table at the weekend at the best of times. Chef Craig Wilson has won lot's of awards and his food & presentation is worthy of a Michelin star any day.

Now how o/t is that!
