Yup, mid life crisis beckons - I've decided someone round here is getting a tattoo... Not saying where or who or what!!

Very reluctant to just stick a pin in Yellow Pages for something like this tho - does anyone have any recommendations please?

Without question, Stix or Kev at Draconian Tattoo (605 George St). You may have to wait a while for an appointment though as they are very popular. I've had all my work done there (one completed sleeve and next under way).

think they stick the pin in you actually......

Sorry

Still haven't got to do my first hillclimb for a few years as the engine went sick on a rally in Jan, seems April at Doune wasn't the best, will get in touch about the regs situation once I get started on the engine
Cheers
Tony H (with the sweaty leathers at Doune in June 07)

It was Draconian Tattoos that did mine - they were excellent - not that I can remember much - cause I kept fainting and landing in a certain persons lap!!!!!!

The one at the dockside - down Market St and turn left - can't remember it's name, is the one that the Aberdeen Coucil environmental health officers use for training. I don't think they'd take any chances of slipping cleanliness levels knowing that there are very regular visits from the EH guys.

That's Richard's tattoo place. He's not a bad tattooist (did my very first couple may years ago) but he's one of the rudest people you'll ever meet. Well, he was back in the day. Draconian every time for me.

Understand your point, but I'll take rude over (*insert needle-transmissable infection of your choice*) anyday! wink

I'm not sure if that's meant to be a dig at the levels of hygiene at Draconian or not but I can honestly say they are meticulous there. And their artwork is far superior than that of wee Dick IMHO biggrin

I got mine done at Richards Tattoo shop, only downside is you have to get there as soon as the shop opens as it's a first come first on the day. I think it was John who did mine. Highly recommended as I got the recommendation from Skins in Falkirk.

You haven't read my previous post. If the EH dept at the Council use Richards for training, then I imagine that it will be kept very, very hygenic indeed.

All tattoists working out of registered premises who want to stay open more than 6 months have to be meticulously hygienic!

I have three from Richard's. Good tattoist... yes. But in agreement with Viperscot the attitude is VERY poor. I recently went in to enquire about two covers up's that were done many years ago. I was spoken to like crap and made to feel like it was my fault the tattoos were faded laugh His suggestion was black panthers to cover (very origional).

Since spoken with Draconian and they were very helpful. Just need to book the appointment. (Viperscot stop hogging the artists!!!) laugh
