Just wondering if/how the supposed fuel shortages have been affecting everyone. Glasgow Woodlands was sold out today, but every other place I passed was fine, with no queues or signs/rations. With the pipeline being open again in Tuesday apparently, hopefully this is the worst of it and it turns out to be a flash in the pan.

It's very hit or miss in the Aberdeen area, some petrol stations have it, some don't, then it all changes the next day.
The strike finishes today, however i've heard there are concerns over whether the refinery will actually restart. A lot of it is old technology, which has only managed to keep going due to being run constantly. It takes just over 2 weeks to go from running, to shut down, and back up to running again. There's rumours of further strike action this weekend, so it could be down for a while.
The issue is petrol stations are now starting to capitilise on the (percieved) shortage and bumping prices up. Local filling stations in Aberdeen are charging upto £125.9 ppl, with the price hike only coming in the past week.
If people can avoid panic buying, then there shouldn't really be a massive problem, its when everybody hits the stations thinking it's the end of the world when the problems start!

Every petrol station in Aberdeen I have been to had both normal and super. When I filled up on Sunday, there wasn't even another car on teh forecourt.

I've been to Harrogate and back this weekend in the OH's diesel Freelander and had no bother except filling on Friday evening when she had to visit 2 seperate locations to get 20 quid"s worth in both. The stations in Dundee that ran out of diesel had today.
No problems further South at all
