Hi,

At the start of summer myself and a few mates have a drive round Scotland planned over a long weekend. Have mapped most of it out but am completely stumped as to the best way back from Inverness to Aberdeen? Minimal speed cameras, nice roads, scenery and possibly a cheap bite to eat would be nice if that is at all possible smile

Many thanks in advance,
Mark

Inverness to Carrbridge (A9) -> Grantown on Spey (A95?) -> Tomintoul via Bridge of Brown -> over the Lecht (A939) -> Strathdon -> Deeside road into Abdn, some fantastic scenery, no cameras (poss van on A9) crackin roads as well, can't recall all road numbers sorry,
Enjoy,
Gary

My preference is -

Inverness to Forres (Boring bit)
Forres to Grantown (Best Part)
then as Gary says...... smile

Enjoy... awesome route.

Forget the boring bit and head up past Culloden Battlefield and head to Grantown Via the back road past Nairn that way you avoid the entire A96 and the A9

Will need to remember that for next time... you'll still get the good section leading into Grantown over the moors right?
