Red honda eh? Well that really narrows it down! lol!
That must have sucked though. Did you see the Ultima it was totally awesome! My car seemed to be a bit of an interloper considering it wasnt a jap piece of machinery.

What a great day it was at Crail today. Good weather and some nice cars. We were there in the Ultima (thanks for the complimnt AlfaChick - I think you were in the queue behind us at one point?) It's always nice to see more and more girls having a go at actually racing on the quarter mile.

Ultima wasn't running it's best today frown We'll need to get that sorted and hopefully break into 11s biggrin

Yeah i was behind you in the queue at one point. My mate was in his burgandy FTO, was trying to get him to race you but he seemed to want to be beaten by me.... again rolleyes
I couldn't belive how good the weather was the best I've seen it at Crail ever, it was almost warm at one point!
What times were you running? It must have been low 12's surely.

Still thinking about the Ring. So many things with so little time!! We'll no doubt be at KH. Not missed many track days this year (including Speed Sunday's biggrin)

Today the fastest it ran was a 12.4. It's best has been a 12.02 at Crail but as you know the timing maybe isn't the best in the world (along with the tarmac!) It's getting off the line that's the hardest. Once it's going there's no stopping it biggrin

I did notice a fair amount of wheel spin! Is it just me or is the start of the track there really quite greasy?

I think that'll be Bill Short, he's got a top spec 720 UShp GTR and seems insanely brave in the wet in his car, show mine any dampness and pirouettes seem to follow.

Hi Tim, I have spotted him at knockhill a few times, the car is quick but he can't be running 720 brake on that, unless he has turned it right down for the track. that would leave us for dead. What does he 1/4 mile in?

The power figure is an american one, and in real terms has to be reduced by their correction factor, resulting in a more believeable 575-612hp. Ultima have had their 720 demonstrator under 10 secs for the 1/4, but that's with loads of practice. Still gives me a chance to brag that my GTR managed 625hp and 600ft/lbs torque on a respected UK rolling road on Friday, so can't wait to get it onto the track, last year was spoilt by head gaskets giving in and the blowing two pistons up at Vmax. Don't know if I'll be taking it to Crail this year as I ended up in the cornfield last year when being a bit to heavy footed. Took ages to get all the bits of corn out!

Very nice, what size of motors in these? is that just you vmax or bruntinthorpe vmax? I take it yours is quicker than the one that goes to knockhill?

The engine is a blown 6.6litre chevy, which is huge fun in a car weighing 1100kg, but drinks fuel at 4mpg at KH. The Vmax is the only one I know which is the series of events organised here on PH at Bruntingthorpe. Only managed 165 thro the traps due to disorientation on a huge strip, but saw 185 on the clock even with both head gaslets gone, so will look for better this year but will have to be careful not to self-destruct again. I don't think I am quicker around KH than Bill's GTR as he seems very able, but last year was so messed up by engine probs that I don't care if someone was quicker as the car was so difficilt that it wouldn't have really made any difference either way. Best time in 06 was 60sec but different engine then, just hope for a dry track at some point to play on.

Cool, I really like them, but I just think they have to many issues from what I hear. Good luck anyway!
