Why do people do this?

Does anyone know why people stop on main roads to let others out from side turnings?

Had a Saab stop in front of me on the Kingswells "by-pass" by the park and ride, the other day to let a bus out! And later on the roundabout at the Aberdeen end of the Tarland Road someone stopped in the roundabout to let the guy in front of me out. Nearly two accidents! WTF??

Also on my way home to Alford yesterday I encountered some idiot with a deathwish overtaking a truck on a bend heading straight for me. I had to take to the verge to avoid him, he never looked at me or made eye contact. Little red Citroen?Nova thing.

Cause they're idiots who think they're being nice even though they're likely to cause an accident?

And the nova thing is probably some stupid ned showing off.

I had a car hit the back of me when the car in front suddenly stopped halfway round a roundabout to let someone out.

Nae impressed - no damage luckily!!!

Just scraped a layer of muck off the bumper.

Yes it's infuriating they probably think they are being knights of the road instead of the bloody nuisance they are

I had one in front of me the other day on my way home from work and he stopped at every junction - on either sides of the road to let other drivers out. What a plum maybe he had all the time in the world but I was late.
