I heard it too! Incredibly loud on the top floor of a flat in Canonmills. Anyone any ideas?

Sounded louder than any Tornado's that I've heard up in Perthshire.

Loudest aircraft I ever heard was a Vulcan with Concorde a close second but don't think either flying at the moment

Turns out it was a few Tornado's doing a fly past of the castle to mark 90 years of the RAF.

Think the pilots had ticked the "sports exhaust" option!
