Does anyone know where I can get an engine block dipped to remove years of grime and oxidation ?
I've googled but it keeps coming up with valeters, office cleaners and other non-related guff, so I thought I'd ask the PH knowledge base.
Aberdeen area would be ideal (and it's an alloy block if that makes a difference)
Thanks all.

Can you not blast it? Thats what a friend does with the one's at his work with years worth of rally grime and they come up brand new.

With my track record of putting alloy wheels in the bath, engine parts in the oven and gluing the best table cloth to the table whilst rebuilding carbs, I think I may be pushing my luck somewhat there !

I'll look into the bead blasting side of things, there must be a machine shop somewhere in the N.E. that can do this sort of work.

Thanks all.
