Folks,

Looking for an exhaust fabricator who can make me up a modified Y-pipe arrangement (merge pipework for both cylinder banks of a V6) for my MR2. Preferably somewhere decent, as the engine I'm using apparently responds pretty well (power wise) to a good Y-pipe design (the original design is pathetic for power, but good for torque).

Any suggestions?

I had some stainless exhausts made up at Turrif Tyres for my old Mustang, very good job, the chaps name was Julian, very helpful and good quality work.

How is Jim King rated?

I've just had some race cats fabricated by him. Can't complain so far.

Thanks for the replys folks. I'll get a quote from both places nearer the time (although '2bular' does look good)

i go with Fugster, although turriff do use powerflow stainless, not overly sure on the grades but i am informed its not as good as some of the other varieties. However, very well made and came with a lifetime warranty.

I had a pretty similar setup made for my V6 coupe quattro, Y to single sports cat, then 2 silencers to tips. for £450 ok 2 years ago no idea if stainless has deviated in price much.

2bular looks rather natty, where is he based?

Could you let me know how you get on when you go ahead, just managed to picked up a V6 engine for my MR2 at the weekend so my conversion is now a go and will be looking to get a pipe made up at some point.
