High winds on FRB - Labour blame Feta for crash

The sheer idiocy of this woman knows no bounds.
"Police officers were forced to stand in the road, in poor weather conditions, to try to filter high-sided vehicles out of the queues crossing the bridge, threatening their safety and diverting them from their usual jobs.
This is not an acceptable solution."
Government reply -
"Feta had responsibility for making decisions on when to impose such restrictions. However, it is, and always has been, the responsibility of the police to enforce.
"Only the police have the power to stop vehicles ignoring these restrictions.
"That was the case before tolls were abolished, and that continues to be the case now that tolls have been abolished."
The spokesman also pointed out that physical barriers have not been in place on the southbound carriageway for about a decade.
However, the lorry tipped over in a freak gust, before restrictions had been put in place. Where do these bloody MSPs come from? I took a quick look at her profile on the Gov website, and confirmed my believe in first impressions.
ETA. Should the lorry drivers take a bit of the blame too? Being professional drivers with more experience of driving conditions in high winds in exposed places, you would think caution would take precedence over delivery in this H&S aware land of ours.

and you're suprisedThe sheer idiocy of this woman knows no bounds.
Actually, this isn't just about the recent winds IMHO. I live in SQ and the roads have been a complete nightmare since the tolls came down with frequent long tailbacks northbound which results in more and more people trying to use SQ as a rat run. All this has done is to clog up the village completely.....there'll be riots soon I tell ye.... it's driving folk nuts but what can you expect
