A82 Loch Lomond accident
Discussion
Today, whilst out on a pleasure drive over Dukes Pass (no fun at all - snow on the road) and back via Tarbett and Loch Lomondside, there was a police roadblock just outside Tarbett. After wondering what was going on for a few minutes, I see a yellow helicopter come in and land on the road (I assume the road - my view was partially obscured). Then I realised it must have been an accident, and quite a nasty one judging by the amount of police cars there.
Hopefully no-one was killed, but it brought home what a dangerous road it is, really. One I'm sure we all drive regularly, and we've no doubt seen some of the overtaking maneuvers some people like to perform there. No real point to this post! Just how my little pleasure drive went from fun, to intregue, then poignancy really. Drive safe!

Roads are not dangerous, it's people who are dangerousHopefully no-one was killed, but it brought home what a dangerous road it is, really. same as a gun itself isn't dangerous, it's the person using it

There was a bad one yesterday near ayr, heard sirens all day long. Turns out someone had run up the arse of a highways truck - You know the type, big F**k off lights with a flashing arrow telling you to pass on the right of it..............hit it square on about 70mph..................Deed there and then ( The driver I mean, not the truck ).
