Audi RS6 in Aberdeen?
Discussion
i have a pal with one out past Echt. He is considering selling his having grief with the rear suspension setup, in and out of specialist theives a lot recently. There are a few about... That said the soundtrack is rather wonderful, blistering acceleration and i believe they are all Auto's if that bothers you at all. Only ever seen Avants in Aberdeen area.
no idea how much you know about them but www.rs246.com is a good resource.
[edit: had a look at your sig, nice ABY S2 there]

Yeah, i have been reading up on them for the last few months now mostly on the RS6.com a RS246.com. I now know about most of thier faults, DRC and Gearbox woes etc. I think i'd have to ditch the DRC all together and fit a quality set of Coilovers to be safe. Would really like a proper look at one localy before I make up my mind on them and start traveling the country trying to find a good one.
Istoo, is your mates one an Avant? Im not keen on the saloon tbh.

Yes my pals one is an avant metallic grey colour beast. I have two avants at the moment i just like the lines on the Audi sport avant's. However neither of mine are of the S or RS lineup. The suspension would trouble me the most, then the MPG as doing 15-20k a year would be cheaper having a personal jet... although this is only marginally slower.
Would you be ditching the S2 avant?

I'd be interested in your pals car if he decides to sell it. Can you let him know that i'd like to come and see it. Even if he's not selling it. Don't fancy travelling down to Glasgow just to view one yet. There is one for sale in Inverness but its over priced with the mileage thats on it.Would you be ditching the S2 avant?
If i were to buy one it'd have to get the DRC ripped out and replaced with coilovers, i've heard that the seals on the suspension set up can last as litte as 500 miles!
Yeah, i'd sell the S2 once a decent RS6 is found. I only bought it as a cheap winter runaround but i've fallen in love with the fast Audi Wagon concept now. My mate has a B5 RS4 for sale just now too, which is just perfect.
Paul, it's a small world. The guy who owns the RS6 was a good friend of the guy you bought the Corrado from. He would consider selling it if the opportunity arose. It's a 2004 with only 26,000 miles on the clock and still has the full platinum level warranty. The hydraulic suspension system has been replaced recently.
If you fancy seeing the car this weekend then you're more than welcome to see it and chat about RS6's.
