Just been told by my insurance company to use this company to repair body work damage on my car.
Has anyone used them before?

Bennets Of Scotland
Bothwell Pk Industrial Estate, Uddingston
Glasgow

When i phoned them to arrange a inspection of the car i was not impressed.
Just wondering if there body shop is better than there telephone manner?

You can choose your repairer if you're not happy

...but if you do you usually forfeit your right to a replacement vehicle or guaranteed repair work.

we use them in work and have no issues that i'm aware of.

most bodyshops phone service leave a lot to be desired!

When I crashed my 1990 corolla GTi 16V many years ago ( about 8 )

I was told I had to use them and if I did not I would forefoot the courtesy car

It took them about 4 /5 weeks to get the car back to me but the finish of the work was good

You can choose your own repairer, and if they have courtesy cars and you explain your predicament some will just include the cost of the replacement car in their quote for repair costs to the insurance company. Not that I'd encourage this or endorse it in any way as that'd be lying to your insurance company to ensure your pride and joy gets repaired by someone who knows what they're doing rather than left to the apprentice at your insurers bodyshop of choice. smile

May Coupe went there when I crashed. They wrote it of with £4500 worth of damage to a £1700 car. (the passenger side wheels where bent by 45 degrees so it was probably pretty accraute)

But I thought they where very nice people even picking me up and dropping me off at the train staition whae I came to collect my stuff.

Just got my car back from Bennets after almost full respray.
Looks like they have done a great job, they delivered the car to my home by car transporter.
No problems, need to check over paint work on a nice day but so far it looks great.
