With a few exceptions, the majority of posts come from you loons & Quienies in the North East and I guess the majority are ADMC members. That in itself is not a complaint you understand, bless you, if it wasnt for you the Scotland forum would be a bleak place indeed. Its just that I'm not from that area and with the exception of Famous Graham and one or two others regarding track days etc. there is a dirth of chat.

Well let me open my doors, from 22 dec I will be around, barring 30 Dec to 2 Jan (away gettiing pissed for New Year) until the 7th Jan in Edinburgh, if anyone wants to come and see my 1970 Corvette Stingray (see my website at www.GraemeInglis.com) maybe have a quick hoon around, once I have finished replacing the roller rockers, just drop me a note at Graeme@GraemInglis.com and I'll do my best to accommodate. My son Matt (Mattius here website www.MattInglis.com) is also in the final stages of rebuilding his Triumph Spitfire to a good road comp car spec (130bhp) and he's around most days..It's a wee variation on first footing so why not?

Funnily enough I was thinking the same. After a post asking about Ford dealers in Glasgow only got 1 reply tumbleweed I was a wee bit bemused.

So, thanks for the invite (even though I'm from the West Coast) and I may well take you up on it; I have a mate who's moved out to South Queensferry and I'm starting to lose contact with him and, as he's a bit of a petrolhead as well, this could be a great opportunity to kill a few birds with one stone biggrin

Good man naetype, give me a shout and we can at least do hogmanay pistonheads style! I dont take the beastie out unless its dry in winter to minimise salt gathering, but Missus may permit a trip to the West could coincide with the New Year sales so watch out I may reciprocate, we could meeet at a cafe and talk boocks as my other half would say!

Would love to drop in, if only to see Matt's Spitfire (my first 2 cars after passing my test were Spitfires so I have a soft spot for them!) but we're not around for the festive season - BUT we will presumably get to see you doing paternal duties at events next year when Matt loses his motorsport virginity - regs are en route tell him - having just had their final check for Blue Book references so should be emailed tomorrow!

Although I now live in the north east, I am originally from Ayr and have also lived in our marvellous capital. Would love to pop by and see this amazing beastie, although sure it would make mine look positively dull! Perhaps a wee road trip to Ed is calling!!

Cheers

If you are looking for a petroly (Is that a word?) thing to do
around New Year and somewhere to meet, why not at the Rally Time Trial
at Kames?. 29 December.

I am going to be staying in Glencoe for the week around New Year.
I certainly hope to be getting out on the roads during that time if weather is good.
If snow permits a couple of family and friends nice cars should be gathering too.

I was hooked a long time ago, I ran a 999cc CooperS in the hillclimb road car class in the late 70's followed by a Motus kart then a couple of 1100cc imp engined single seaters in the 1100 racing car class in the early 80's. Matt has been around Hillclimbs and sprints since he was born, literally!

Noticed the wieghting to the northeast too. I live near Dumfries. We had the same issue with the TVR club, to remedy this, the Cumbria club region now includes Dumfries and Galloway and Borders. So keep your eye on the NorthWest England forums too.
