Be aware that the North Deeside road A93 is closed between Drumoak and Crathes. Big accident. Heard about 5 or 6 emergency vehicles about 2 hrs ago and the road is closed off.

Divert over Park and Crathes bridges.

That answers my question.

Fingers crossed nobody is hurt.

You must have just posted as I was 2 finger typing.

Got to be really serious the amount of two tones going out there.

Still closed at 5pm so I fear must be another bad one. Must have happened around noon, at Myrebird junction I think.

Not long before I heard all the sirens I came across what might have been some kind of "close protection" excercise going on ahead of me through Milltimber / Peterculter.

Looked like 3 police bikes doing the Junction blocking manouvers with 2 unmarked cars being the "protected" convoy.

Do hope there's no connection.

Still closed 5 minutes ago.

Funny, no mention of it on the radio.

I was listening to Original though so don't know if there was anything on Northsound.

Cheers,

Eric

From P & J

"Meanwhile, two elderly men were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary yesterday after an accident involving two cars on the A93 near Crathes, just east of the junction with the A957 Slug road.

Fire crews had to use cutting equipment to release one man from the wreckage. Neither man was thought to have life-threatening injuries."

They came through Aberdeen about half 3, steaming up Crown St then across onto South College St, 5 bikes, black A6, silver Pug 406 and silver 5 series BMW with a mahoosive Police Escort LED display in the back window, was wondering who it was?
