North Deeside Road tonight?

Anyone know why it was shut between Crathes and Banchory tonight?

It took us ages to get home - following a number of 'diversions' and eventually driving through a set of cones with a 'road closed' sign.

I believe it was a RTA and I hope those involved are ok.

Just heard from my brother that it was a bad accident. I met 2 cop cars between Banchory and Aboyne going like the clappers to attend.

Elderly pedestrian killed by van.

A female pedestrian has died after being involved in a collision with a van in Aberdeenshire.
The accident, involving the woman aged 76, happened on the A93 near Milton of Crathes. The victim, from the Stonehaven area, has yet to be named.
The road was closed for several hours to allow crash investigation teams access to the scene.
Grampian Police, appealing for witnesses, said the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon.
