Electrical Problem

Having problem with the radio in my VW Golf Mk 5. I can switch off radio and egnition, leave the car and sometimes when I return the radio is blasting out music. Has anyone experienced anything like this and what was the problem?

Hello there Luggit .
I hope the car is still in warranty ? Cause the bad news is that you are going to need a new radio , a very common problem with the mk5's .

Thanks MX125, car is still in warranty so a visit to Specialist Cars very soon is needed.

Car booked in for Thursday this week. As soon as I mentioned the problem Specialist Cars said they were well aware of the problem and it will be taken care of under warranty.Thanks for the prompt response MX125 and highlighting the problem.

I blamed my wife at first, but after speaking to Specialist Cars I realise that the fault is well known....and yes I have apologised to my good lady.

Yes, a great win but to be honest 4 - 1 was not a true reflection as Caley Thistle were not that bad. What was disappointing was the size of the crowd, too many empty seats !! Look forward to next Thursday and the UEFA cup game now. Hope some of the injuries clear up before then.
