My brother was dropping something in past Wallarse Performance last night and saw a short wheel base, full Group B spec Audi Quattro, 6 spolights, white and yellow, the lot biggrin

He also spied 3 red, road spec Quattros out the A93 yesterday, was there something on?

Awesome bit of kit...I knew the Audi Quattro was fabled for having the engine too far forward but you can really see it in the piccies ....doesn`t slow them down much though......biggrin

Yep, drove up behind me on Denmore Road on Saturday. That way I just couldn't work out what it was in the rear view mirror, but my jaw nearly fell off when I turned left and caught a glimpse of it broadside... Very very cool...

looks like a pukka sport and not a dialynx one... anorak on, i think the dialynx ones had a steeper windscreen.

Still, f**king gorgeous, and the noise HAS to be heard... i really like the samco drainpipe as well, thats the hugest hose i have ever seen!

No, that's not right - the genuine sport q's have the more upright windscreen from the Audi 80 - to counter that terrible sunlight reflection from the sharply raked coupe windscreen. All Dialynx will have the less upright windscreen unless they've welded an Audi 80 front end onto a coupe rear end - which I doubt.

Bizarrely enough, I just found out that one of my work colleagues used to have an original sport q imported from a private collection in the middle east. He sold it a few years ago and regrets it terribly - as you would! I still get a tear in my eye when I think of selling my met black 20v RR 18 months ago.

He was at the ADMC fun day at Knockhill. He woulda been trailering it home from there, heading North, from 3 o'clock.

Wonderful sounding motor!

yep, you are indeed right. i fired this link up on the owners club site, (i am not a rally man) and dutifully got shot down in flames! Its RHD for a start, and the block looks like 3b with and AAN intake side. A friend with one, i might have indirectly heard form you today then through the the chap with the trevor?

However it is still had a lot of effort put into it and alomst guaranteed to sound and go like a rocket. Nice to see someone putting a lot of effort into recreating a classic piece of history.

Ah your pal sold it, he will be gutted...

Yep that's Brians Quattro. It's not an original but a very good replica and had a lot of work put into it. I made the decals using original photos as a guide

Are Dialynx models going to be allowed to rally? The new K37 regs say that small volume manufacturers have to have produced 20 cars in a year - Dialynx website says they've only ever made 16.
