I need to find a good body shop, ideally in Glasgow but willing to travel slightly further if need be. My old Escort Cosworth has a few bits of rust that I need to get sorted before it gets too bad, I'm also looking at a bonnet/bumper respray to remove many years of stone chips. It's been loved and looked after since the day I drove it out of Wylies in 1996 and I've always been very particular about who worked on it, not having any dealing with body shops has meant that I've put this off and put it off but I can put it off no longer.

Any help would be much appreciated.

John.

AC Taylor, best bodyshop in Glagow by far. Speak to Alan the owner and tell him Pardeep sent you for a good deal. The only bodyshop that i know that do the job properly and don't cut corners. Alan himself is a perfectionist and i've never been disappointed with his work.

As with everything people have different experiences - I never got as far as getting them to paint my car - went down, assessor came out, saw the car and gave a price in the street. Went inside to book the job and the manager interrupted, saw the quote asked "is this for that porsche" and then started to say stuff like "porsche require special paint", "it needs a special technique and only 1 of our painters can do it" and assorted excuses and he bumped the price up by 50% - I turned and walked without saying a word and drove off, I know enough about painting to know an example of "you pay more because you've got a porsche" when I hear it.

Ended up at this place:

Did a FANTASTIC job at a very good price - couldn't have been happier, even repaired damage underneath the front bumper where every other place immediately said it needed to be replaced and you in no way could tell.
