Viper south of Grantown
Discussion
Yes, I'm afraid it was me. Total pisser. And I was driving relatively sedately too. Apex of corner at brow of hill in the wet. Car just went into a slide and there wasn't time to correct before the bridge wall hit the front end at about 30mph. There is considerable damage and I don't think it'll be repairable. As I've always said, the Viper is dangerous in the wet. To be honest, I think I'm lucky to get out of it relatively unscathed. Had I been driving a bit harder I don't think I'd be here to tell the tale. Sobering...

Viper in the wet, say no more. all my ass clenching moments in the viper have been in the wet/damp. Just seems to be a case of the tires and breaks on these things really need to be warmed up a bit and you cant get to that state in the wet on the road, add in the total lack of nanny aids and any mishap you are on your own. Whenever I'm out in the wet now its a real sedate ride and no fun at all.
I feel for you and your loss, but at least your OK.

Oh ShiiiTTTT!!!
Sorry to see these piccies Hamish.
People will now realise how these supercars cars are a bummer in the wet. We need to be so careful and Im sure you were but the slightest twitch of the cars rear end will make your rear end twitch.
Glad you got out OK and lets hope you can get the Viper mended.

Oh nooooo!!! Really sorry to see / hear about this
We met briefly earlier in the year when you were at the foot of Applecross on a pistonheads run (myself and another couple of MR2's were there on a recce drive) - we were all blown away by your Viper.
Really glad your ok though - at the end of the day it is just an object (albeit an expensive one!) and your life is much more important.

Sorry to hear about this, saw it on the mx5 Scotland owners club. I never made it to the rolling road you went to but had the pleasure of seeing and hearing your car as you were heading home. As long as your ok. Heartbreaking
