Dear all,

Just a short note to say that we have been offered a slot at Knockhill on Saturday 24th November from 12 - 4 (no early start for a change!).

We would need to confirm this slot next week if there is sufficient interest to make it viable as I know that many (but not all) Elises and Caterhams etc get packed away during the colder months!

The costs would be about £80 for SIDC members and £88 for non-members. There would be no extra charge for additional drivers or passengers.

It would be a 4 hour open pit lane session, with free instruction (if required) and full use of the wheel/tyre van facilities as well.

If you could reply to this message if you would be interested, and just ignore this message if you aren't. I'll then quickly be able to judge the level of interest and confirm the booking hopefully next week and get it into the club shop to purchase.

Best Regards

John

Hi John,

I would be interested (with Tuition),not sure what a "SIDC member" is BUT £88 sounds a bargain. I can also pay for the tuition if need be.

SIDC = Subaru Impreza Drivers Club who I organise the events through. Over the past few years though, less than 1/3 of the cars on track have been Imprezas, with lots of Elises, Exiges, Caterfields and various other exotica smile

Many of the Elise/Exige owners are members due to the discounted track events more than covering their annual membership fee!

Instruction is always free at our events - we pay for an instructor to be there for the whole event, and you can use them as often or as little as you want. There would also be a wheel&tyre van there so you can check/adjust tyre pressures, change to different wheels/tyres for track, hire slicks (unlikely in November!) or even buy new road tyres at excellent prices (pre-ordering required).

Cheers

Definitely interested John, just depends on the weather, but no other KH dates available at present so you've got a monopoly just now.

Judging by the feedback so far it looks like we have enough interest to run the event. I'll do the sums on Monday when I get into work, but it looks like I'll be confirming this event smile

Yes, it looks like this event is a go-er. Confirmed the booking with Knockhill and we'll have slots available to purchase on-line in the next day or two.

Cheers
