Aye, I think a good summary is that if you've done no track work before, it'll be great but if you've done lots of track work before you'll be dissapointed.

I think that should be MAY be dissapointed, I still expect even if someone has done track stuff but never driven a single seater that they would still find it great, a single seater is just so different to even a kit car or westfield etc.

I eventually did it to get experience for a forth coming track-day and although well organised - i hated the gear selection on the steering wheel - the system seemed confused and having to use a clutch pedal meant that it was difficult to put the car into the correct gear and drive the car smoothly.

Having driven paddle shift cars before without a clutch pedal probably didnt help to be fair.

I got a silver package for my birthday but it did not arrive on time.
So my misses phoned Knockhill and went off her head like she does in the house and they upgraded me to the Platinum package.
Full day in Legends unrestricted.
It was Magic until i got black flagged for not using the clutch changing up.
Spot the biker!

Due to upgrade it was great value but when thinking about what every one else paid i am not so sure.

If money is no problem then go for it, it is a great day out.

Anyone ever done the 'Drivers Plus' day?

I got the wife the 'Diamond Package' for her birthday, open choice, and one of the options is 6 hours intensive tuition, including getting to use your own car on the track after you've mastered it in their's. Considering you can do Knockhill karting for ten for the same money, I'd like any opinions on whether it's worth the cash for 6 hours 1on1 tuition.

Just hope she doesn't stack the damn thing laugh

My other half got me a voucher for the Ferrari Experience up at Knockhill

I've never driven on track before so wasn't sure what too expect, but i had a great time.

As long as you weren't a total knob you could drive the fezza as fast as you wanted

i made up a wee vid of my experience

excuse the burds commentary
