Hi All,

Most of you will appreciate the difference between a valet and a full detail on your vehicle (Hopefully!).
I Have recently taken the plunge and started my own detailing business in Scotland. I Have 12 years experience in detailing, using only the very best of materials and techniques.
I Have been trained by Zymol in vehicle preparation and waxing techniques, including de-swirling, compounding and buffing.
I Have also invested in the very latest Fogging technology available, preferring to remove the source of any odours on a permanent basis rather than masking with air fresheners.
My washing techniques consist of a minimum of a 12 stage washing process, which then moves to a full Zymol clay operation followed by a hand appied wax.
All the products I use are Ph balanced so are environmental friendly and of no harm to your vehicle, humans, animals or pets / wildlife.
Even our wheel cleaning agents and wheel wax is neutral, this is paramount in ensuring that the lacquer coating and then indeed the base metal is not compromised.
I Do not offer a menu style of pricing, preferring to design each detail around the owners requirements. My Business plan is one where I hope to retain a lot of repeat business, this is reflected in my pricing policy where I don't charge ridiculous prices- I would rather you were delighted with your car, the price and invited me back again and told your friends and family about the excellent service you had received.

Hopefully the above is of some interest to some of the people on the forum. If anyone would like further information please do not hesitate to get in touch with me for availability and pricing.
I Am fully mobile, carry all the equipment required and can support 24/7.

Thanks for your time in reading my mail.

Regards

Alistair

Not going to get into a debate over this here, think you may have offended quite a few people with that comment, not just Pro detailers but also owners who have a passion for their cars!

Just for record, It is a little bit more than the spotty teenager at the side of the road charging £4 for a foam wash, complete with gritty old sponge and long handled brush!

If its not for you then I Accept that and understand, no need to attack someones profession like this though?

360 - if you use this forum as a vehicle for your business you must expect a certain amount of flak. With respect, I think this should end HERE!!!!

Good luck to you mate in your new business. I once watched a guy on Top Gear or Fifth Gear that was a detailer and he charged up to £3,000 for his work. He did a lot of Man Utd players cars. Hopefully you'll get thatt kind of cash it wouldn't be me paying it but I'm sure there are those who would. Anyway good luck.

Nick,

Do you live in Longniddry by any chance? I usually see a yellow cerb when I drive through there.
