I've uploaded the photos I took on Sunday to Flickr:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnsidc/collections/...

I've even sorted them out by class, so you can hopefully find the interesting ones more quickly. I've not had time yet to sort out the good ones from the bad ones!

I even managed to catch the mini pick-up in a slide, just before it collected the cone which it dragged around for the rest of it's laps.

Enjoy!

John

Good effort John - thanks for that. smile

The shots with the chequered flag in them are brilliant.

Cheers,

It's a Canon 400D - an entry level DSLR camera, used with a Canon 70-200mm F4 lens. I also used a polarising filter on the lens to try and cut down on the glare/reflections. Then just some quick corrections in Adobe Lightroom to adjust brightness/contrast/saturation etc, and export to a smaller size/lower quality for the web.

Murray - weather did hold out with much of the day in bright sunshine, but it did cloud over a bit at times during the afternoon with a cool breeze. Stayed dry though which was the main thing!

Thanks Wallace! If I get time before the next event, I'll put the high res ones onto a CD for you, which should be fine for printing up to A3.

Eric - more to the point, what were you doing posting on here at 03:22 on a Monday morning coffeewink

I've made the same mistake as well! I just asssumed it was Wallace from Eric's reply and didn't check. Unless there's some horrible database corruption on the forums taken place, but other profiles look fine ?

I've asked the man himself, and he doesn't have a PH profile!! Seems we owe 2 people apologies - Mr Menzies and Mr DJ...!!

Apologies allround from me then!

Nina - do you want a copy of your photos on CD ? I can deliver at the next Fintry event if you'll be there. Sorry that none of them are that great, but there's something about the colour of your car that seems to play havoc with my camera, and confuses the metering. I'm sure it thinks I'm pointing it at the sky or something. Well that's my excuse anyway wink

Thanks John - that would be good. I'll be there at some point over the weekend but I'm not entered, as we've a long trip to Kames the following weekend and then it's holiday-time!!! bounce so I have to rest my ageing limbs!! David will be there all weekend tho - he's clerking so easy to find, look for long haired beared scruff wandering around annoying everyone!!

No problems Nina. If I don't see either of you around, I'll leave the CD with Eric who might be able to point me out in the crowd. Most likely I'll just be there on the Sunday again.
