Boyndie 30 June / 1 July
Discussion
An appeal from ADMC! The sprint at Boyndie is short of marshalls, particularly on the Saturday 30 June. The bottom line is that without marshalls, the event cannot go ahead. While it is unlikely this scenario will happen - volunteers can usually be dragged out of the paddock and the Clerk (G4ADDICTED) is very persuasive - it really would ease the minds of the organisers if anyone likely to be available could make themselves known in advance. And we all know 1 volunteer is worth twice as many pressed men!!
By volunteering early and alleviating the worry, you then allow more time for Janet and Graham to plan the BBQ which will be held - FREE !!!!! - on the Saturday night for competitors and marshalls alike!! (So you get well fed and it costs you nowt!!)
Camping is available on site, the sun is ordered, you'll be stuffed full of food and fluid during the day, the entry is full and exciting, the commentator is Allan MacKay (anyone who's been at Golspie will know listening to him alone makes it worth going to the event!!) - go on, what excuses do you have?!
If you've not marshalled before, don't worry that you'll be left on your own - you'll be chummed up with someone experienced, and who knows the ropes.
You can respond to this post, or get in touch with Janet at - suitably lacking @ signs to avoid unwanted auto mail - email JOROTADI AOL.COM
Actually, having said the G4 man is persuasive, he may not be around much longer if he doesn't make suitable amends for his comments on ASBO's posting re being keyed ... Janet - you need a Clerk!!

On a related subject, I haven't yet received finals. Is this the case for other competitors?
Final final final entry list - til the next alteration! - prepared last night as far as I am aware, so knowing Janet likely to have been sent at some unearthly hour this morning!! Just realised - revenge is sweet - David's PC and ID... now how many misleading posts can I make!! N
Yes, finals and entry list received this morning.
Strange looking entry, particularly in A4.
B4 looks the strongest it's been for a while so I'm really looking forward to the weekend now.
Forecast looks good for Saturday but bad for Sunday. Saying that, I'm sure Boyndie has it's own micro-climate so who knows.
Cheers,
Eric

John,
If you're short of space, I might be able to help out (Mrs K has bought a Disco 3 and it's hoooooge!).
I see the entry list has been revised ... damn those amalgamations!
Mrs K has done the honourable thing and signed up as a marshal (albeit for Saturday only). Good on her.
Cheers,
Eric

Cheers Eric,
'bit the bullet and bought a BJ Tyre rack. It came the other day but was just a bag of assorted tubes and no instructions so I had to trawl the net for images to see how it fitted. Seems OK, but as my wets are as hard as Hard-man Hard McHard , I guess they'll only be used if there's significant standing water (like Sunday Golspie)
See you at the weekend
JP
ETA - Cheers for the offer Murray 'suspect the g4 man will answer your query

Does anyone know when we can get access to the circuit on Friday, my plan is to drop the car and trailer there around 5-6pm before going to a hotel for a small refreshment.
As the Finals say that you need to notify ADMC that you wish to camp, I would guess that you should also check with Janet before turning up on Friday with the trailer. Boyndie Drome is ownd by GKC, and I don't know if they have the place secured, normally.Kiltie said:

If you could email Janet to confirm, that'd be great.

No problem, never done it before, so it'll be an experience. If you could email Janet to confirm, that'd be great.

Btw Kiltie were you at the open day at Boyndie a couple of weeks ago, I think I say you and your westfield, before i was takn out on a lap by the bloke in the blue nova.
Aye, that was me in the Lilac Loser.
Don't worry about never having been a marshal before - there's not a lot to it.
I'd recommend taking a deck chair with you, some sustinance and suitable clothing.
The only thing that makes drivers grumpy is late red flags so it's good to make sure that at least one person on your post is paying attention.
Hopefully we'll catch up with you on Saturday.
Cheers,
Eric
