Spotted - Jaguar XJS (TWR edition?) Bearsden
Discussion
Spotted an absolutely immaculate red Jaguar XJS on the Duntocher Road the other night with what seemed like a factory fitted bodykit. Nothing OTT, it looked purposful and hence my assumption of the TWR link. Also had twin headlights with a black surround.
Had a quick look on google but no clue as to what exactly it was. Never seen one before.
Anyone know the type of car i mean, or the particular car?
Cheers

Could have been an XJR-S. I saw a red one on Bothwell Rd, outside the racecourse, last week.

It could have been a Lister Le Mans XJS. This looks a bit like the XJRS 6.0, but has a much more aggresive bodykit and bigger chrome effect wheels.
It has a Lister tuned 7 litre version of the V12 putting out something like 520bhp, and has a manual gearbox.
I used to see a red one of these, the only one I've ever seen on the road, in and around Glasgow quite regularly, although that was a good few years ago now. Could be the same car.

There's a thread on pistonheads with some awesome pics of the Lister (in black):
