Scotland - Le Mans, Rosyth to Zeebrugge on Tuesday 12th
Discussion
Richard, Yes we'll be making a bee-line for Le Mans.
Had we been a day later we'd have takien advantage of the Audi drinks meet just outside Rouen but this year we'll just be happy to make it to the circuit without any detours....kinda overshot a turning after Rouen last time by 100km......
I think you also know my co-pilot, Dave. He's an engineer at SS7. VERY tall and equally as nuts about cars as i am!
See you enroute!
James

I take it DG won't be taking the RS4 then??!! He's far too picky about paintwork!!Had we been a day later we'd have takien advantage of the Audi drinks meet just outside Rouen but this year we'll just be happy to make it to the circuit without any detours....kinda overshot a turning after Rouen last time by 100km......

No, it's my turn to drive this year as we took the Jag last time.
The RS4 will no doubt be tucked away in its protective bunker for the week we're away!!
Cheeky sod did suggest we give my car a good polish before we leave tho as it wasn't up to his usual standards....
He'll be round at mine a few times this week testing our camping gear and packing up the car. Also got a few subtle stickers to apply so need to get that done before the weekend as i'm off to the I.O.M on Fri for the TT.
Graeme (Hollowpockets) was suggesting meeting for a quick drink one night before we leave just to introduce ourselves and swap ideas on kit to bring along. If you were up for that we could get something arranged. In addition, as you're travelling in the sportscars i guess space will be at as premium. If it helps i'm happy to carry some kit for you in my 4 door boat!
Only 8 days left till...

Thursday evening looks like the only clear one - let me know if OK with you - my co-pilot gets back from SA on the Sunday, maybe earlier but will check on that. Car comes out of the garage on either Wednesday or Thursday, so have to do some miles to check systems....
We are taking the soft option with a hotel in town - so no extra kit in the Sagaris. The Typhon has four seats and good boot space - so not too bad on that either.
No further feedback on the other threads I have posted, but expect there must be others going...
Also worth sorting out a start point and time for Tuesday for travelling down - presume Portlethen Asda OK?

Richard,
Thurs is good for us.
I'll drop you an email to arrange a suitable establishment!
I'm still to plan my departure from Aberdeen but there's a possibility i may stay in Edinburgh for the weekend and Mon, travelling up to Rosyth on the Tues. I'll decide later in the week.
Cheers
