I happened by chance to be there. Two cars scored (subject to the G Mans' validation) 32 points, two others in the 30's. FTD was a Small chap renowned for over elaborate speeches. New track record too, 0.3 under the old one. A certain Firehawk driver wasn't to far behind with a gearchange system that wouldn't ! If that had been working I think the result would have been slightly different. A young gentleman favoured by a Broomstick toting lady was also snapping away only 10ths down from FTD after an abortive first timed run, with a push back from the start line.
There were a couple of very unfortunate mishaps too. The Mutch/Jolly machine rattled a 'Big End'. But fortunately stopped before that was terminal.
Mat R's car had a similar issue, though that did sound a bit more terminal unfortunately.
James B tried to climb the tyre wall in at the finish line in practise wiping two wheels off his wagon. Though I'm told to expect a full recovery before Golspie.... which would be nice

G-man here - looks like yesterday was reverse direction, so particularly impressed with Junior if he got within 10ths of the speech-maker after an aborted first run.
Keep us posted on what happens today if you are allowed out, would you - and pursuade Stan 'The Clocks' to send me a set of results for both days.

Just come off the phone with 'someone who knows'. Sounds like someone on the Golspie reserve list might get lucky, as it looks like the tub on the MP62 is badly damaged at the front and will need to go back to Pilbeam for repair - on that basis it would be doubtful for next weekend I think, unless Mr P has a spare MP62 tub sitting gathering dust in the storeroom somewhere... weather very mixed, JR got FTD, the Lambie Westie had a flying off over the tyres coming down the main straight from the top hairpin and landed beside the track going towards the hairpin - artistic impression 6/6.(must have been 6feet in the air so came down with a fair old bump)
SR jnr visited the tyrewall on a very committed 1st timed run and that was his event over as well - but everyone ok (Bill will probably be ibrufen's best customer for the next couple of days tho...)

From the horses mouth, JB`s Pilbeam has damage but not that bad and all going well it will be out this weekend and does not need to go to Pilbeam for tub repairs.
My apologies - 'someone who knows' had had a call from someone close to you who had indicated that the tub was damaged - very glad to hear that this is not the case.Any news on the Robb MP57? It went into the wall at the same corner on Sunday, but retained most of it's appendages apparently - albeit not all pointing in the normal direction....
