A few of us went over to Mull last week for a couple of days, mainly for my mates kids to see Balamory! Weather was pretty damp which was a pity as I bet its stunning when the sun shines. Friends Ferrari coped well with the bumpy roads although there were a few close ones on the single track when meeting the locals!

Perfect for drying wet shoes!

To be honest we were all a bit shocked at the hospitality on the island, some very rude people in bars, hotels, petrol stations, didnt seem to want our business! Think we were just unlucky as I have never heard any bad reports before.

How many real locals run the business there now? My last experience about three years ago was that there were very few left - lots of incomers...

None of these unhelpful and downright rude people had Scottish accents, thats all I'm saying!

Its a shame about your reception in Mull. I have been a few times and it has always been good.

Got to say your mate is braver than me taking an F430 there. Last time I drove on Mull it was in a 1.1 106 and even that felt like overkill.

I was interested to read about your trip to Mull and see your pics.
It is a shame you didn't get the weather - it is so lovely in the sun. I am from Mull and am sorry that you encountered grumpy people. Whether people are 'local' or not they should all be polite if they are running a business IMO. (However there is not a lot of competition on Mull really if you get what I mean.) Anyway, the cars look great and I hope the local charm hasn't put you off going back?! I am surpised the F430 managed off the ferry OK - sometimes, depending on the tide the angle from the ramp to the pier can be quite steep.....
