So how's god's country fairing up right now??

I'm sitting near the North Atlantic coast on a Semi Sub rig and we are getting knocked about a bit. Right now we are getting hit with 120mph winds. If I don't happen to be back on site over the weekend I am either swimming or sitting in a dark corner with a life jacket on chanting "there's no place like home" cry ...........

Hi Stang

Pretty windy down East Lothian way and has been all night, and just started snowing.

Have fun!

I have just spent 3 and a bit weeks on a diving support vessel in the North Sea so I can sympathise with how you feel. It's been very windy here in NE Perthshire and we had a small amount of snow in the night but it's melting now.

Very windy in Dunbar, but dry and bright - no sign of snow at all.

Trees are a bit hard to come by in the sea

As for Edinburgh - blowing a gale. Quite bright though.

It's dry and bright just outside Glasgow - but it was blowing a gale earlier and we had hailstones too.

Just driven down from Aberdeen to Linlithgow - A90/M9. First snow I saw was on the Pentlands as I approached FRB. A few tries at some sleet en route but nothing too exciting.

Oh well I managed to survive lol. 124mph was the max last night. Then cladding from the derrick started to come off so everyone was ordered inside (except me coz I have a office gggrrrr). &0mph is forcasted for tonight so that should be better lol.

Thanks for the advice Richard, you are the second person to say that . Unfortunately I backloaded BP's christmas tree a few trips ago so I had no chance of finding one lol. We are getting a bit of snow now and I have been told Inverness now has snow. The parents were without power most of the day. Supposed to be getting off tomorrow for 5 days so the flight should be fun.

It was snowing in my bit of glasgow about 4pm, quite calm now though. I love rough seas!

Very windy in Aberdeenshire today with a few flurries (SP?) of snow.

2°C on my way home this evening and the gritters are out.

Worse offshore though.

We have a rig disconnected and hunkered down and a DSV in Aberdeen probably not going to sail 'til Tuesday.

Cheers,

Eric

Drove down from ABZ to Glasgow/SECC for the Faithless gig, really good dry run, coming back was OK too. Powdering of snow this morning, and a half hearted effort of snow on the way to work. Wind dropped away.

No snow in Moscow, after a pleasantly sunny weekend Monday is a drizzle and about +6c.
