For the second time in just over a year, my car has been the victim of a car park hit n' run and needs some tender loving care from a good bodyshop (wing needs beating, bumper/wing needs painted).

As I lost my no claims the first time it happened, I'll need to pay for this one out of my own pocket or my insurance will go through the roof.

Had a few quotes from Merc main stealer's bodyshops but I'm reluctant to assume higher price = better job, though I don't want to get a backstreet job done that'll look cack in 6 months time.

Can anyone recommend a bodyshop in the Glasgow area that will do a spot on job for a good price?

I will recommend A C Taylor. Alan and his workers do an excellent job, and I know you won't be disappointed. I have seen his work on anything from a classic Mini, through to my Clio, to a brand spanking Aston. Perfect each time. He may not be the cheapest but he is a perfectionist.

His details are:

A.C Taylor Coachworks
291 Drakemire Drive, Linnpark Industrial Estate, Glasgow, Lanarkshire G45 9SS
Tel: 0141 634 8910

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the damage done - what a sickener... Bad enough when you do it yourslef, but when some other incosiderate b****r does it... grrrr furious

I've used these guys a couple of times in the past(and recommended several of my friends too):

Hollandhurst Garage,
2 Hollandhurst Road, Coatbridge, ML5 2EG
Tel. Sandy on 01236 422241

They've always done an immaculate job at a very reasonable price... certainly worth a call.

Hope this helps,

Gav
