Hotel Recommendation

I just wondered if someone could recommend a hotel in Edinburgh, reasonably priced and if possible close to Royal College of Surgeons?
I've never been to the city and it's my graduation in April...

Any resturant/bar rec's also welcome

For a restaurant, I'd recommend Rhubarb at Prestonfield, specially if someone else is paying.

Lots of hotels aound the West Mayfield, Minto Street area not to far from Surgeons Hall. For pubs etc there is always Rose Street, The Kennelworth is a nice old pub that hasnt changed in donkeys years, I like Great Grog for a glass of wine and a sandwich, or there is The Mussel Inn if you like seafood, to name but a few. If you move further afield Hamiltons on Hamilton Place in Stockbridge is a good pub that sells food.

Rhubarb gets my vote also.
I was at a wedding there last year - great venue, great food, fantastic service.
