Highland Speed Championship Dinner
Discussion
I just wanted to say thanks to all who were involved in the organisation of the dinner, and to GAC for sharing their venue.
I don't know the names of all involved but particular thanks to JP for his sponsorship of the HSC, and an even bigger thanks to Jenny for her work throughout the season and for doing a great job announcing the awards, you did a great job, kept it amusing without causing undue offense, the night just flew by, it was 03.45 before I knew it.

Aye, the Kiltie's bar bill was quite impressive ... in fact twice what the room alone cost.
Damn those large Balvenie's!
Cheers,
Eric

Hi CT! Thought it was about time I posted something on PH, given that I haven't been in touch for ages. The Locost is at last running, thanks to a friendly local engine management wizard. You have no idea how much damage our mutual friend had done to this car - or maybe you do!! Suffice to say, he won't be getting anywhere near anything with my name on it again. Quite incredible saga, which I'll relate over an Ovaltine sometime. I've entered the Highland Speed Champs just in case the car is ready this year, so I hope to lock horns with Kiltie at some point. Fintray in May?

Hi John
Good to hear that the car is running, Mr K might not be so pleased.
Not sure what I am doing this year, work is going to get in the way of most sprints, so it is either just the hills or maybe a season of marshaling at the events when I am home.
Baku is pretty shitty but bearable, the money and time off are good so I will stick it out for a while, or until something interesting comes up nearer home.
Hope to see you at Fintray.

Baku eh? Sounds fiendish.I may well do a spot of marshalling myself this year, because while the new car may well be "interesting", it remains to be seen if it will hang together! Here's hoping anyway. There's no doubt the thing has the potential to be pdq, but we'll just have to wait and see....
