im trying to hunt down a bolt supplier to replenish the supply in the garage i used up. is there any in scotland?

Have a look in the yellow pages, there should be loads. I'm not sure what they'd come under bit if you look for bolt supplier or bearing supplier you should turn something up.

Fasco in Dalgety Bay have managed to get me nuts and bolts in pretty much any imperial size. Quite a few have been ex stock, others they've ordered in.

Actually, I've used these guys as well - good for low quantities of awkward size bolts.

Don't know where you're based, but Johnstons Nuts and Bolts in Inverness are great. Anytime I've been in, they're happy to get stuff if they don't have it. If you know what you're after I'm sure they'll just post it out. Not expensive either...
