Hi, has anyone got any recommendations for good places to get performance tyres supplied/fitted around Glasgow?

Thanks,
Mike.

P.S. Happy new year!

I had etyres.com fit 4 Bridgestones to the TVR last Christmas - very competitive prices, and they come to you (home or work). My guy was based in Falkirk but I think they also have a Glasgow franchise.

Jim Dickson in Cumbernauld comes recommended by my fellow S2000 owners when I asked the same question on arriving up here a few weeks ago. Going to be using him next week in fact.

If you want Michelins wait for the sale at Costco in St Rollox retail park in Glasgow.

Kwikfit Anniesland will alwas beat anywhere!!!

I have no affiliation with them and also like the guys at McConnechies in Paisley just off underwood rd.

The manager at Kwikfit usually also seems to be able to get them very quick into stock compared to other places.

blackcircles usually tells ya to goto Drivers at Charing Cross so jujst call them up first and they are slithgly cheaper. hehe

I always use (when not needing Lotus spec yokohamas) Collins tyre services in Johnstone. Owner is a good guy and the prices are always good.

Jim Dickson is good, but if your looking for Michelin tyres, you cannot beat Costco in Glasgow for price.

If your looking for 4 tyres (maybe over 2 cars ;-) ), they're especially good value as they're doing 20% off the purchase of 4 tyres. So I will be going there for 4 Pilot Sport II's for my car.

P.S. You do need to be a Costco member to use them, as well as a voucher in theyre promotion 'passport', but you can get both in store 'on the day'

Im in Glasgow and just got 4 toyos for my puma from mytyres, got them delivered within a week to a local garage. Obviously my wheels are pretty smallish but £160 for 4 tyres and fitting is pretty good and hard to beat.

On account of smart arses ( (aka kiltie) recommendation I've tried Jim Dickinson. Have ordered toyos for track day wheels & others for road wheels. On the off chance & unscheduled popped down last w/e to drop road rims off & lo & behold all the tyres were in stock & lined up already! met the family & get it all sorted this coming w/e - so far excellent.

Ahem, thanks who?

The boys there did my brakes too while getting the rear tyres changed. Top work, competitive and kept me supplied with coffee for the 2 hours it took.

Took care of the alloys too.

If this were ebay, it'd be a A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ deal. Nice work guys thumbup
